1. Thread the cable around the steering wheel rim.
2. Pull out the seatbelt strap and thread the cable through it.
3. Lock the cylinder with the key and remove it.
Unlocking follows the same steps, in reverse.
Sheathed braided steel cable, housing with key cylinder. Store the lock under the seat or in the boot while driving. If the cylinder becomes stiff, a drop of dry lubricant is enough — avoid oily products.

The cable goes around the wheel
Thread the braided steel cable around the rim while the door is still open.

Then through the seatbelt
Pull out the seatbelt strap and thread the cable through it. The two points are now linked.

One turn of the key
The cylinder locks with the key. Take the key with you, close the car, and you're done.
Unlocking follows the same steps, in reverse. Three keys are included with every lock.

What we get asked most
Will it fit my car?
SafeCar Pro™ isn't built for one specific model: the cable goes around the steering wheel rim and then through the seatbelt strap. It fits the vast majority of cars, vans and SUVs with a standard steering wheel and a three-point seatbelt. Not sure about your vehicle? Write to us before ordering.
How long does delivery take?
Estimated delivery is 3 to 9 business days from order confirmation. It can vary depending on the delivery address, the carrier and busy periods. What if I change my mind?
You have 60 days after delivery to request a return, in addition to your legal rights. Write to us first at contact@safecar-company.com with your order number, and don't send anything back before you've received instructions. Unless the item is faulty, damaged or was sent to you by mistake, it needs to come back in a resellable condition, with its accessories and, where possible, its original packaging. How many keys come with it?
Three keys per lock, plus a quick-start guide. Keep one at home — it's the only way to unlock it if you lose the other two.
How do the discounts work?
They're automatic and need no code. A single lock is $86.12. From two locks, the unit price drops to $68.99, that's 20% off: $137.98 for two, $206.97 for three. Beyond two, the unit price doesn't drop any further — there's no benefit to ordering more hoping for a better rate.<\/p>
Does SafeCar Pro™ make my car unstealable?
No, and no one should promise you that. It's a mechanical lock: it adds time, noise and above all visibility to a theft attempt. Against an equipped and determined thief, it will eventually give way like any lock on the market. Its purpose is to make someone pick a different car than yours.
